Furniture Care

Your new furniture

Buying new furniture is always an exciting moment, and we hope you\'ll enjoy your purchase for many years to come. Proper care and maintenance will help to prolong the life of your furniture, and you can see a furniture purchase as an investment for you to enjoy.

General Tips & Advice

As an independent store with one of the biggest selections of furniture and beds around we\'d like to share a few tips for keeping your purchase in top condition. Firstly, avoid leaving furniture in direct sunlight as it can cause fabrics and colours to fade. Sofas, chairs and cushions will benefit from regular plumping. We also recommend that you vacuum your upholstery occasionally using the soft brush attachment to keep it looking its best - general use over time can cause wearing to fabric, and we find regular maintenance helps to keep your upholstery looking better for longer. For beds and mattresses, be sure to turn the mattress at the specified interval suggested by the manufacturer - non-turn mattresses have been specifically designed so you don\'t have to do this. A mattress protector will help extend the life of your mattress and protect it from any substances that may cause staining, as well as protecting you from any potential allergens or irritants.
